Suburban Adventure Racing - Tues 5 Nov!

posted 27 Sep 2019, 16:04 by 1st Heatherdale Admin   [ updated 9 May 2020, 22:15 by Andrew Yeaman ]

Suburban Adventure Racing is on every Tuesday night during the Daylight Savings months.
Tuesday 5 November is Melbourne Cup Day but more importantly 1st Heatherdale is hosting Suburban Adventure Racing!

The event is free of charge to local youth groups (including Joeys, Cubs, Scouts and Venturers) and children accompanied by an adult.

Members of the local community can also take part in the activity - and these folks pay a small joining fee ($5 to cover public liability insurance) and $2 event entry fee. Each entry fee paid by adults cover the printing cost for 8-9 kids.

Come along and walk the dog or spend an hour talking with your kids away from those dreaded devices!

You will see some familiar 1st Heatherdale faces. Love to see you and your families there.

Start anytime between 6pm and 7pm but you must be finished in an hour. Call Jacala if you want more info.

For details regarding the schedule see: http://suburbanadventure.com.au/page20.html.

Great news! Telstra Kids grant

posted 9 Apr 2019, 05:48 by Andrew Yeaman

We are delighted to announce our success in applying for a $1,200 grant from Telstra. Telstra Kids helps kids thrive in their connected world and provides one off grants to organisations that support and encourage kids to achieve their goals. Our Telstra Kids grant was used to help our Scouts attend Jamboree by providing funds to go towards a new dining shelter.

With much thanks to Neil Sutherland from Telstra (former Scout Leader) for his assistance in applying for the funding for us.
