A new series will commence in October 2026. The series will be run by 1st Heatherdale Scout Group.
Suburban Adventure Racing is a fun, inclusive navigation sport inspired by rogaining. Using a map, participants search for checkpoints hidden around suburban streets and parklands, aiming to collect as many as possible within 60 minutes.
It’s suitable for all ages and fitness levels – you can walk, jog, or run at your own pace, enter solo or as a team, and even bring along prams or the family dog.
Events use RFID finger scanners for quick results, and our friendly volunteers are always on hand to explain the rules and offer tips for first-timers.
Duration: 60 minutes (penalties apply for late finishes)
Start Window: 6:00pm – 7:00pm (course closes 8:00pm)
Distance: Approx. 6–7 km to collect all checkpoints
Entry Fee: $5 per participant (Scout Leaders & adult helpers free). You can pay with cash or card.
Series Pass: $40 (20% discount – entry to all 10 events for the price of 8)
Includes: Map, RFID scanner, training, printed results, and a free Zooper Dooper
Stay tuned for dates for the next series.
