About Us
Our History
Back in 1957 all of the Scout groups in Ringwood were full. It was decided to advertise in the local newspaper of the day to start a new Scout Group in Heatherdale. One of the drivers of this was Mr Len Free - who was the first Scout Master with the Scout name of "Bing".
From those humble beginnings 1st Heatherdale has grown to be a very active and strong Scout group in the local Whitehorse area.
Our Scarf
The colours of our scarf date back to when the Group was first formed:
The Green represents Scouts
The Yellow represents Cub Scouts
The Red represents Senior Scouts (now Venturers & Rovers).
